Tommy Davidson (actor)
Tommy Davidson (born November 10, 1963 in Washington, DC ) is an American actor .
Life and accomplishments
Davidson was adopted as a child. He graduated from the University of District of Columbia . He played his first role in an episode of the anthology series CBS Summer Playhouse from 1989. In the comedy Strictly Business (1991) he took the lead; in the supporting roles were among others Samuel L. Jackson and Halle Berry to see.
In the comedy Booty Call - One-Night-Stand with Obstacles (1997) Davidson starred alongside Tamala Jones , Jamie Foxx and Vivica A. Fox . In the comedy Woo (1998) he played a man with whom Woo ( Jada Pinkett Smith ) dates. In the comedy It's Showtime he starred alongside Damon Wayans and Jada Pinkett Smith, for which role he was nominated for the 2001 Black Reel Award . From 2001 to 2005 his voice could be heard in the animated series The Proud Family ; this speaking role earned him nominations for the Image Award in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 . For the speaking role in The Proud Family Movie (2005), based on the series, he received another nomination for the Image Award in 2006.
