Tamala Jones (* 12. November 1974 in Pasadena , California ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Jones made her debut in an episode of The Parent 'Hood from 1995. In the drama An American Quilt (1995) she played a relative of Anna ( Maya Angelou ) on the side of Winona Ryder , Anne Bancroft and Ellen Burstyn . After a few guest appearances in the television series, a major supporting role followed in the comedy Booty Call (1997), in which she appeared alongside Jamie Foxx and Vivica A. Fox . From 1998 to 2002 she took on a larger role in the television series For Your Love . In the comedy Next Friday (2000) she appeared next to Ice Cube .

In the comedy Head of State (2003) Jones played one of the bigger roles alongside Chris Rock . In the thriller Long Distance (2005) she starred alongside Monica Keena . In the independent comedy What Love Is she played one of the bigger roles alongside Cuba Gooding junior , Anne Heche and Gina Gershon .

From 2009 to 2016, Jones starred in the crime series Castle alongside Nathan Fillion and Stana Katić as coroner Dr. Lanie Parish in front of the camera.

The African-American Jones was in the years 2000 and 2001 by the readers of the magazine Black Men Magazine of the 10 Sexiest Women of the Year chosen.
