Tommy Kristiansen (born May 26, 1989 in Sarpsborg ) is a Norwegian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Sparta Sarpsborg in the GET-ligaen since October 2017 .

Career

Tommy Kristiansen began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Sparta Sarpsborg , for whose professional team he was active from 2005 to 2011 in the GET-ligaen , the highest Norwegian league. In the same period he also came to a total of 23 missions for the second team of Sparta Sarpsborg in the second Norwegian division, the 1st divisjon . In the 2010/11 season , the winger and his team won the Norwegian championship .

After Kristiansen had also started the 2011/12 season at Sparta Sarpsborg in the GET-ligaen, he switched in October 2011, initially on loan, and finally in early November 2011 to the HV71 from the Swedish Elitserien .

In 2013 he returned to Norway and was signed by the Stavanger Oilers . With the Oilers he won the IIHF Continental Cup in 2014 and was Norwegian champion four times in a row .

In April 2017, the Krefeld Pinguine announced the engagement of Kristiansen, but Kristiansen returned in October of the same year after only 17 missions to his home club Sparta Sarpsborg.

International

For Norway, Kristiansen took part in the junior division of the U18 world championships in 2006 in the top division and 2007 in division I, as well as in the U20 world championships in 2008 and 2009 in division I.

At senior level, he stood for the first time in the World Cup 2011 in the contingent of his country . He also took part in the 2012 World Cup with the Scandinavians. Although he was called to the Norwegian national team in the following years, he has not been nominated for world championships so far. Only in the successful Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 was he again in a tournament squad.
