Tommy Jan Mörth (born July 16, 1959 in Stockholm ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player .

Career

Tommy Mörth began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown with Djurgårdens IF , for whose professional team he made his second-rate Division 1 debut in the 1976/77 season . With his team, he immediately achieved promotion to the Elitserien . In this, the attacker developed into one of the leading players on his team and won the Swedish championship title with Djurgården in the 1982/83 season . For the 1978/79 season , the left shooter moved to Malmö IF from the second division 1. With the team, he also rose to the Elitserien in the 1989/90 season . However, he himself joined the Järfälla HC from third-class Division 2 , where he ended his career in 1992 at the age of 33.

International

For Sweden Mörth took part in the junior division of the U18 European Junior Championship in 1977 and the U20 World Junior Championship in 1979 . At the U18 European Championship in 1977 he won the gold medal with his team and the gold medal at the U20 World Cup in 1979.

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the 1982 and 1983 World Championships and at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo . At the 1984 Winter Games he won the bronze medal with Sweden.
