The Tono (also Nuno-eno ) is the most important river in the Oe-Cusse Ambeno exclave belonging to East Timor .

It rises in the Oesilo administrative office and flows into the Sawusee in the Pante Macassar administrative office near Lifau . Like many other rivers in the north of the island of Timor , it does not carry any water in the dry season.
Tributaries
Abanal (in the upper reaches of Bussi), Kinloki, Bimilo, Rio Ana, Ekai, Columu, Bena, Toko, Malelai (in the upper reaches of Malelui), Bitaklele, Upun, Bao, Matin.
Trivia
In Pasar Tono , where the road from Pante Macassar to Oesilo crosses the river, the largest market of Oe-Cusse Ambeno takes place every Tuesday.
The largest rice fields in the Oe-Cusse Ambeno special administrative region are located on the banks of the Tonos , primarily near Lifau and Padiae .
Since 2017, the Tono has been spanned by the Noefefan Bridge, which connects the municipal capital Pante Macassar with the west of Oe-Cusse Ambeno.
