Tony Buck
Tony Buck (* 1962 in Sydney ) is an Australian drummer and percussionist . As a graduate of the New South Wales Conservatorium of Music , he became part of the Australian jazz scene.
Buck is a member of the trio The Necks and head of the band Peril , which he founded in Japan with Yoshihide Otomo and Kato Hideki , as well as astroPeril. He initiated the short-lived project L'Beato in the early 1990s, an industrial- oriented throwback to Tackhead , which brought out an EP called The Piston Song . He was also part of Kris Wanders ' European unit.
Tony Buck lives in Berlin and Australia. He also plays in various formations in Berlin and can also be heard as a soloist; his main interests are free improvisation and "real-time music". Currently (2018) he works in a duo with Michiyo Yagi .
