Rodalbe (German Rodalben ) is a French commune with 253 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

Rodalbe lies between Morhange and Bénestroff at an altitude between 226 and 290 m above sea level, the mean height is 245 m. The municipality covers 10.57 km².

The place is at the source of the small river Albe .

The hamlets belong to the municipality of Rodalbe

  • Feriendal ( Feriental ), located to the south,
  • Sainte-Suzanne ( Saint Susanna ), also south, and
  • Allewald, to the east.

history

Through the Peace of Westphalia , the formerly German town came to France and then became German again in 1871 through the Peace of Frankfurt , until the end of the First World War. Even during the Second World War, the place was under German administration.
