The municipality of Pettoncourt is located eight kilometers southwest of Château-Salins on the Seille , which here forms the border with the Meurthe-et-Moselle department . The municipal area at an altitude between 197 and 282 m above sea level covers 4.9 km².

history

The village bore the Germanized name Pettenhofen from 1915-18 and 1940-44 .
