Hannocourt is a French commune in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins . With 21 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), Hannocourt is the second smallest of the 730 municipalities in the Moselle department after Molring .

The municipality of Hannocourt is located in the Saulnois , about 30 kilometers south-east of Metz at an altitude between 231 and 270 m above sea level. The municipality covers 4.21 km².

history

The small village has belonged to France since 1661 and was known as Handorf in 1915-18 and 1940-44 .
