Landange (German Landingen ) is a French commune with 242 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

geography

Landange is about ten kilometers southwest of Sarrebourg at an altitude between 269 and 343 m above sea level. The Rhine-Marne Canal runs north of the 4.85 km² municipal area .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1050 as Landeldingen , then Landanges (1285).

The village has belonged to France since 1661.
