Danne-et-Quatre-Vents ( German then and Vier winds ) is a French commune with 686 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins and the canton of Phalsbourg .
geography
The municipality of Danne-et-Quatre-Vents is the western passport on the Zaberner Steige ( Col de Saverne ) on the border with Alsace . It lies between Phalsbourg and Saverne . Important traffic routes, such as the A4 autoroute and the N4 national road, run through the municipality of Danne-et-Quatre-Vents . The tunnel de Saverne on the LGV Est européenne (Paris-Strasbourg) high-speed line is also located in the municipality.
In addition to the parts of Danne and Quatre-Vent , the hamlet of La Bonne Fontaine ( Gutenbrunnen ) also belongs to the municipality .
history
The place has belonged to France since 1661 and consists of the two districts
- Danne (first mentioned as Dhann in 1128 ) and
- Quatre-Vents (founded at the end of the 17th century) that merged during the French Revolution .
