Zarbeling (German Sarbelingen ) is a French commune with 58 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

geography

Zarbeling is located east of Metz at an altitude between 235 and 325 m above sea level. The municipality covers 3.87 km². The municipality is located in the Lorraine Regional Nature Park .

history

Zarbeling came to the German Reich through the Peace of Frankfurt in 1871 , and in November 1918 the place became French again.
