Viviers is a French commune in the Moselle department and in the region of Grand Est (2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins . The place has 123 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

Viviers is located southeast of Metz im Saulnois at an altitude between 234 and 293 m above sea level, the mean height is 250 m. The municipality covers 7.2 km².

history

The small village has belonged to France since 1661 and carried the German name Weiher from 1915-18 and 1940-44 .
