Guébling (German until 1915 Gebling , since then Geblingen ) is a French commune with 124 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

The municipality of Guébling is located in the Saulnois , north of Dieuze at an altitude between 216 and 333 m above sea level. The municipal area covers 6.86 km².

The district of Reclin (1567: Reclingen, 1790: Récling) belongs to Guébling .

history

The community was first mentioned in 1525 as Gueblingen .

The village belonged to the German Empire from 1871 to 1918 , but French remained the official and colloquial language.
