Vittersbourg (German Wittersburg ) is a French commune with 358 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

Vittersbourg is located seven kilometers northeast of Albestroff at an altitude between 218 and 253 m above sea level, the mean height is 250 m. The municipality covers 7.13 km².

history

The village was completely destroyed in the Thirty Years War .
