history

Due to changes in territory in the course of the Franco-Prussian War (1870–1871), which were finally confirmed in the Peace of Frankfurt , Vibersviller became German in 1871. In 1919, the municipality fell back to France through renewed changes of territory in the course of the First World War (1914–1918).
