Lemoncourt is a French commune with 70 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

Lemoncourt is located in the Saulnois southeast of Metz , on the road from Pont-à-Mousson to Château-Salins at an altitude of between 215 and 292 m above sea level. The municipality covers 5.41 km².

history

The small village has belonged to France since 1661 and carried the Germanized name Lemhofen from 1915-1918 and 1940-1944 .
