Romelfing (German Rommelfingen ) is a French commune with 356 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

geography

Romelfing is located about eleven kilometers north of Sarrebourg on the Saar at an altitude between 227 and 307 m above sea level, the mean height is 254 m. The municipality covers 10.69 km².

history

The village came to France in 1766, to the German Empire from 1871 to 1918 and again to France from 1919.
