Ibigny (German Ibingen ) is a French commune with 97 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

geography

The municipality of Ibigny is located about 15 kilometers southwest of Sarrebourg near the border with the Meurthe-et-Moselle department at an altitude between 285 and 341 m above sea level. The municipality covers 4.77 km².

The hamlet of Hablutz , located a little to the north-west, belongs to the municipality of Ibigny and has a donkey farm.

history

The village was first mentioned as Ibingen in 1137 . It has belonged to France since 1681.
