Saint-Epvre is a French commune with 177 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

geography

Saint-Epvre is located southeast of Metz in the Saulnois at an altitude between 224 and 267 m above sea level. The municipality covers 4.67 km².

history

The village is named after the Lorraine bishop Aper and has been part of France since 1661. During the First World War it was renamed by the German administration in Sankt Erffert (1915 to 1918), during the German occupation in the Second World War (1940 to 1944) in Apern .
