Dolving (German Dolvingen , 1940-44 Dolfingen ) is a French commune with 352 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

geography

The municipality of Dolving is located about five kilometers north of Sarrebourg at an altitude between 237 and 313 m above sea level. The municipality covers 6.66 km².

history

The village came to France in 1766, to the German Empire from 1871 to 1918 and again to France from 1919. The hamlet of Sarrewald ( Saarwald ) also belongs to the community .
