Neufmoulins is a French commune with 43 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

geography

Neufmoulins is located in the southeast of the Moselle department, about eight kilometers southwest of Sarrebourg at an altitude between 265 and 333 m above sea level. The municipality covers 1.93 km². The Rhine-Marne Canal runs north of the municipality .

history

The small village has belonged to France since 1661 and was called Neuf-Moulin until 1871 .

1915–1918 and 1940–1944 it had the Germanized name Neumühlen .
