Oberstinzel is a French commune with 340 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

geography

Oberstinzel is located about seven kilometers north of Sarrebourg on the east bank of the Saar at an altitude between 232 and 323 m above sea level. The municipal area on the border with the Bas-Rhin department covers 5.07 km².

history

The village came to France in 1766, to the German Empire from 1871 to 1918 and again to France from 1919.

Culture and sights
