Desseling (German Disselingen ) is a French commune with 103 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

geography

Desseling is located on the west bank of the Neuf-Étang ( Disselinger Weiher ) between the Stockweiher and the Linderweiher , about 16 kilometers northwest of Sarrebourg at an altitude between 213 and 272 m above sea level. The municipality covers 5.05 km². The municipality is part of the Lorraine Regional Nature Park .

history

The village came to France in 1766, to the German Empire from 1871 to 1918 and again to France from 1919. From September 9, 1973 to January 1, 1986 Desseling was incorporated into Belles-Forêts .
