Brouderdorff (German Bruderdorf , 1940-1944 Brudersdorf ) is a French commune with 966 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

geography

The municipality of Brouderdorff is located about six kilometers southeast of Sarrebourg on the edge of the Vosges at an altitude between 266 and 355 m above sea level. The municipality covers 4.78 km².

history

The place was founded in 1616. The village was German until 1661, then became part of France, became German again in 1871 and then French again in 1919. In the period from 1939 to 1945 it was again under German administration and then again under French administration.
