Anthony "Tony Monte" Monte-Bovi (born January 24, 1939 , † November 14, 2016 in New York City ) was an American jazz pianist , keyboardist and arranger of mainstream jazz .

In the course of his musical career, Monte worked mostly as a soloist in large New York hotels such as the Stanhope Hotel on Fifth Avenue and as a companion for singers such as Margaret Whiting , Peggy Lee and Sylvia Syms . From the late 1970s he also played in the trio of Bucky Pizzarelli and in his quartet with Butch Miles , with which the first recordings were made ( Lady Be Good , 1978).
