Top Gear Russia
Top Gear Russia (Russian: Top Gear: Русская версия ) was a Russian car magazine that was broadcast by Ren-TV .
Top Gear Russia was the second spin-off of the British television program Top Gear after Top Gear Australia . 15 episodes were produced and aired between February 25 and October 22, 2009. After a season, production was stopped due to insufficient quotas.
Moderation
Top Gear Russia moderators were:
- Nikolai Fomenko - former musician, former racing driver, stage actor and TV presenter
- Mikhail Petrovsky - actor, automobile journalist and blogger
- Oskar Kuchera - former MTV Russia presenter and actor
Segments
The segments of the Russian adaptation were based on those of the British original series. The Power Laps and the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment were recorded on a test track at a disused airport in Mnewniki. A modified Lada Kalina was used for the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment .
