The Topaz is a yacht and sails under the flag of the Cayman Islands. She is one of the largest private mega yachts in the world. In the list of the longest motor yachts, it ranks 7th (as of 2018). The construction price is estimated at USD 527 million.
The ship, which was built at the Fr. Lürssen shipyard , was launched on May 16, 2012. The plans for the exterior design came from Tim Heywood, the interior from the British Terence Disdale Design. Lürssen installed two specially developed Pielstick diesel engines with an output of 7,990 hp , which accelerate the ship to a cruising speed of up to 22.9 knots and a maximum speed of 25.5 knots.
