Torben Jacobs (born January 25, 1992 ) is a German single vaulting professional from the Hanover regional association and a German and European double vaulting champion. Jacobs lives in Ganderkesee and graduated from high school in Delmenhorst .

Career

Jacobs was active in the Ganderkesee equestrian club until 2008 and then went to Oldenburg, where he stayed until 2009. He has been working for the Hanover regional association since 2009.

Sporting successes

In 2011 Jacobs won the German championship in double vaulting in Elmshorn together with Theresa-Sophie Bresch from Tübingen and together with her she also won this discipline at the CHIO Aachen .

In 2011 he won the gold medal in the pas de deux (double vaulting) on the horse Cyrano with the subject of the ballet Swan Lake at the European championship in Le Mans together with the also German single vaulting artist Theresa-Sophie Bresch .

Since 2012 there has been a number of successes in pas de deux together with Pia Engelberty , her lunge guide was mostly Patric Looser : In 2014 and 2015 they won the German championship in double vaulting , and at the 2014 World Equestrian Games they won the silver medal. At the European Championships , they came in 2013 bronze and 2015 silver, and the 2014 World Cup final they finished second.

In 2016 and 2017, Jacobs and Theresa-Sophie Bresch won the German championships in double vaulting. At the Vaulting World Cup final in Dortmund in 2018, he won doubles with his partner Theresa-Sophie Bresch and the lunge guide Alexandra Knauf on Holiday On Ice .

As an individual vaulting athlete, Torben Jacobs came fifth in the men's ranking at the 2014 World Cup final (horse: Flash Back , lunge leader: Alexandra Knauf).
