The Tosmarberg is an approximately 320  m high elevation of the Tosmar , a mountain range in the Hildesheim forest . It is located near Söhre in the Hildesheim district in Lower Saxony .

Geographical location

The Tosmarberg rises in the east of the Hildesheim Forest in the Tosmar ridge. It lies between the Steinberg ( 327.5  m ) elevations in the east-southeast and Stuckenberg ( 230  m ) in the west-northwest. Its summit is 2.2 km south of Söhre and 2.1 km southwest of Röderhof , two districts of the municipality of Diekholzen , 4 km northwest of the core town of Bad Salzdetfurth , 3.4 km north-northeast of Petze , a district of Sibbesse , and 3 km east-southeast of the center of Diekholzen.

To the south past the elevation, the Kalte Beuster , which initially runs west, flows as the right source brook of the Beuster .

Parts of the Hildesheimer Wald bird sanctuary are located on Tosmarberg (VSG no. 3825-401; 12.47  km² ).

Natural allocation

The Tosmarberg belongs to the natural spatial main unit group Weser-Leine-Bergland (No. 37), in the main unit Innerstebergland (379) and in the subunit Hildesheimer Bergland (379.0) to the natural area Hildesheimer Wald (379.01). The landscape falls to the north into the natural area of Marienburger Hügelland (379.03).

Mountain height

The Tosmarberg is about 320  m high. The elevation has an east-south-east knoll with the 320  m high summit, a medium hill ( 317.5  m ) and a west-northwest knoll (also 317.5  m ). There is a ( 319.9 m ) high point on the east-south-east crest  . From this crest a hill ( 322.5  m ) leads over to the transition area to the Steinberg ( 327.5  m ) in an east-southeast direction .
