Toubout

Toubout (also: Touboutt ) is a village in the Badaguichiri rural community in Niger .

The village, led by a traditional chief ( chef traditionnel ), is located around 31 kilometers southeast of Badaguichiri, the capital of the rural community of the same name, which belongs to the Illéla department in the Tahoua region. Larger villages in the area are Dindi in the north, Allakaye in the northeast, Tama in the southeast and Yama in the west.

At the 2012 census, Toubout had 6,785 inhabitants who lived in 1,048 households. At the 2001 census, the population was 4,910 in 768 households, and at the 1988 census, the population was 3,992 in 669 households.

There is a slaughterhouse in Toubout, which was built around 2015 with funds from the Badaguichiri rural community.
