Allakaye (also: Allakèye ) is a rural community in the Bouza department in Niger .

geography

Allakaye is in the Sahel . The neighboring communities are Garhanga in the north, Déoulé in the northeast, Tama in the southeast and Badaguichiri in the west. There are 41 villages and 26 hamlets in the municipality. The main town of the rural community is the village of Allakaye. Other larger villages are Angoual Dénia and Assoudjé . Large parts of the municipality, including the main town, are located in the Ader Doutchi mountainous landscape .

history

The market in the Allakaye village of Tadoupta was one of the small markets in the region that was approved by the French administration at the beginning of the 20th century .

The rural community of Allakaye emerged as an administrative unit in 2002 as part of a nationwide administrative reform from the north-western part of the canton of Bouza.

population

At the 2001 census, Allakaye had 53,556 residents. At the 2012 census, the population was 80,280.

politics

In the local elections in July 2004, Mamane Aboucar ( PNDS-Tarayya ) was elected mayor.

Economy and Infrastructure

The community is located in a zone where rain-fed agriculture is practiced.
