Tabotaki is a rural municipality in the department of Bouza in Niger .
geography
Tabotaki is in the Sahel region . The neighboring municipalities are Garhanga in the northwest, Ibohamane in the north, Azèye in the northeast, Babankatami in the east, Bouza in the south and Déoulé in the west. The municipality is divided into 13 administrative villages and 28 hamlets. The main town of the rural community is the administrative village of Tabotaki.
history
The rural community Tabotaki was created as an administrative unit in 2002 as part of a nationwide administrative reform from part of the canton of Bouza.
population
At the 2001 census, Tabotaki had 24,368 inhabitants. At the 2012 census, the population was 46,266.
Economy and Infrastructure
The community is located in a zone where rain-fed agriculture is practiced.
