Toudouni

Toudouni is a village in the rural municipality of Kalfou in Niger .

The village, led by a traditional chief ( chef traditionnel ), is located around 14 kilometers southwest of Kalfou, the capital of the rural community of the same name, which belongs to the Tahoua department in the Tahoua region. The regional capital Tahoua in the northwest is about 23 kilometers away. Toudouni lies in the lower part of the valley of Keita in the west of the Ader Doutchi plateau .

At the 2012 census, Toudouni had 5848 inhabitants who lived in 932 households. At the 2001 census, the population was 4,060 in 638 households, and at the 1988 census, the population was 2,641 in 438 households.

The majority of the village population belongs to the Hausa ethnic group .

There are two schools in town, one of which is solidly bricked and one that is thatched. The infrastructure also includes a simple health center ( case de santé ).
