The Ungersberg ( 901  m ) is a mountain on the eastern edge of the central Vosges , west of the village of Reichsfeld in Alsace . It is located between the Andlau Valley and the Giessen Valley (Weilertal - Val de Villé) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region .

tourism

The mountain, touched by the French long-distance hiking trail GR 5 , can be climbed from Reichsfeld via the Auberge Gruckert ( 580  m ). Another ascent option is from Villé via Albéville, a town in the municipality of Albé . The Vosges Club has in 1894 on the mountain a lookout tower , built, the tour Héring, from a wide view of the Alsace plain, that of the Black Forest and offered the surrounding mountains. In the meantime, the surrounding trees dominate the tower so that there is no longer a view.
