Trade Wind is the music project founded in 2014 by Jesse Barnett and Tom Williams .
history
In March 2014, Jesse Barnett , singer of Stick to Your Guns , and Tom Williams , guitarist on Stray from the Path , started Trade Wind. Just three months later, Suffer Just to Believe, an EP was released on Other People Records . This was recorded within five days. In the meantime, Andrew McEnaney from Structures and Randy LeBoeuf joined as other musicians.
The debut album You Make Everything Disappear was released on July 15, 2016 via Equal Vision Records in North America and End Hits Records in Europe . The day before the album was released, the two musicians embarked on a smaller concert tour through the United States, which ended on July 29, 2016. In October Trade Wind will play a small European tour with Sights and Sounds .
style
Trade Wind's music is very different from Stick to Your Guns , Stray from the Path and Structures , where the musicians are mostly active. In contrast to the groups mentioned, the music of Trade Wind is described as calmer. It is still difficult to assign the music of the project to a musical genre. However, Thrice can be heard as a musical influence. The quartet sometimes uses nested rhythms for their music. The music is most likely to be classified as post-hardcore .
In the songs, Jesse Barnett , who is responsible for the lyrics, deals with personal problems, among other things. The songs also deal with the dark side of love, loneliness and nightmares that have come true.
