Translation Loss Records is a music label from the USA founded in 2003 , which mainly has metal bands from the sub-styles of Doom and Progressive Metal as well as projects from the post-hardcore genre under contract. The best-known representatives are Mouth of the Architect , Year of No Light , Intronaut , Giant Squid and Rosetta . Translation Loss Records is based in Harleysville , Pennsylvania . Translation Loss Records was founded in 2003 by Christian McKenna ( Cable , Empty Folwers , Zodiak ) to give musicians the opportunity to publish without submitting their artistic work to the ideals of the mainstream .
