Travis Frederick (* 18th March 1991 in Sharon , Wisconsin ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of the center . He played for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League (NFL) for seven years .

college

Frederick, also a talented track and field athlete in high school , attended the University of Wisconsin and played for their team, the Badgers , successfully college football , holding various positions on the offensive line . He and his team won the Big Ten Conference championship twice , received multiple awards and was included in an All-American selection in 2012.

NFL

In the NFL Draft 2013 he was selected in the 1st round as the 31st player by the Dallas Cowboys and was able to establish himself in this team immediately. Already in his rookie year he played as a starting center in all games . In his second season he was appointed to the Pro Bowl for the first time . In the years that followed, he remained a pillar of the Cowboys' offensive line and was Pro Bowler in 2015, 2016 and 2017. After he was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome , he was placed on the Injured Reserve List on October 5, 2018 .

In the 2019 season he played in every game of the regular season from the beginning. On March 23, 2020, he surprisingly announced his retirement from the NFL.
