Travis "Spider" Webb (born October 8, 1910 in Joplin , Missouri , † January 27, 1990 in McMinnville , Oregon ) was an American racing driver .

Career

Between 1939 and 1955 he drove regularly in the AAA National Series . He achieved his best placement with a second place in Winchester in 1946 and in Detroit in 1949 .

At the 500 miles of Indianapolis he was between 1948 and 1954 with the exception of 1951 in all races, although he could never place in the front field. Since the race was part of the Formula 1 world championship from 1950 to 1960 , it also took part in four world championship races.
