Tremenico is a fraction of the municipality of Valvarrone in the province of Lecco in the Italian region of Lombardy . Tremenico is about 25 km north of the provincial capital Lecco and 70 km north of the metropolis of Milan .
The municipality of Tremenico with the Aveno fraction was merged with Introzzo and Vestreno to form the new municipality of Valvarrone on January 1, 2018 . The neighboring municipalities were Casargo , Colico , Dervio , Dorio , Introzzo, Pagnona and Vendrogno . The municipality of Tremenico last had 161 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2016).
