Tresigallo is a fraction of the Italian commune ( comune ) Tresignana in the province of Ferrara , Emilia-Romagna region .
geography
The place is about 21 kilometers east of Ferrara in the Po plain on the orographic left side of the Po di Volano, a tributary of the Po .
history
The origins of the community go back to the Middle Ages. The Palazzo Pio goes back to the Este house.
In the 1930s, at the instigation of Edmondo Rossoni, the reconstruction of the old town center in the rationalist style began. This has given the place the name Città d'Arte .
Tresigallo was an independent municipality until 2018 and merged with the neighboring municipality of Formignana on January 1, 2019 to form the new municipality of Tresignana. The districts: Final di Rero, Rero and Roncodigà also belonged to the former municipality.
