Trichiana is a fraction of the northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) Borgo Valbelluna in the province of Belluno in Veneto . Trichiana is about 9 kilometers southwest of Belluno south of the Piave and borders directly on the province of Treviso .

The municipality of Trichiana was merged with Mel and Lentiai on January 30, 2019 to form the new municipality of Borgo Valbelluna. The Trichiana municipality was part of the Comunità Montana Val Belluna . It last had 4820 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2017). The municipalities included Campedei, Carfagnoi, Casteldardo, Cavassico Inferiore, Cavassico Superiore, Confos, Frontin, Morgan, Niccia, Pialdier, Pranolz, San Felice and Sant'Antonio Tortal. The neighboring communities were Cison di Valmarino , Limana , Mel, Revine Lago and Sedico .
