Trjochisbenka ( Ukrainian Трьохізбенка ; Russian Трёхизбенка Trjochisbenka ) is a village in the east of the Ukrainian Luhansk Oblast with about 2900 inhabitants (2001).

Geographical location

The village is located at an altitude of 50  m on the left bank of the Siversky Donets , 28 km south of the Novoajdar district center and 38 km northwest of the Luhansk oblast center . Territorial road T-13-15 runs through the village . The bank of the Siversky Donets opposite the village has been part of the “ Lugansk People's Republic ” since 2014 .

Trjochisbenka is the administrative center of the eponymous, 102.5 km² district council , to which the villages of Krjakivka ( Кряківка , ) with about 450 inhabitants and Orichowe-Donetske ( Оріхове-Донецьке , ) with about 60 inhabitants belong. Until 7 October 2014, the community was in Rajon Slovianoserbsk and then as a result of Ukraine war around the villages Lobatschewe ( Лобачеве , ) with about 250 inhabitants and Lopaskyne ( Лопаскине , extended with about 130 inhabitants, and the) Rajon Nowoajdar affiliated.

history

According to the history of the towns and villages of the Ukrainian SSR, the Cossack leader Kondrati Bulavin was born in the village, first mentioned in writing in 1674 , who led a Cossack and peasant uprising named after him in 1707/08, in which the residents of Trjochisbenka also took part which is why the village was burned down and repopulated in 1715.

During the hot phase of the war in Ukraine , Trjochisbenka was under fire for six months, which is why many residents temporarily left the village. 18 people were killed in the village, 20 houses were completely destroyed and 260 partially destroyed. The bridge over the Siversky Donets was destroyed in September 2014. In the years that followed, there were repeated acts of war and shelling of the village.
