Trofors is a Tettsted and at the same time the administrative seat of the municipality Grane in Nordland , Norway .

Trofors is located at the confluence of the Austervefsna and Svenningdalselva rivers, which form the great Vefsna River . The village of Leiren is about 25 kilometers southeast of Trofors, and Majavatn is about 45 kilometers south. Trofors is 0.93 square kilometers and has 787 inhabitants (2012). The population density is 846 inhabitants per square kilometer.

Trofors is also on European route 6 at the intersection with Riksvei 73, which leads east towards Hattfjelldal and then to Sweden . Trofors has a train stop in the western part of the village on the Nordlandsbanen .
