Troisdorf-West is one of the twelve localities of Troisdorf in the North Rhine-Westphalian Rhein-Sieg district .
Troisdorf-West, together with the Rotterdam See district, is the youngest of the twelve districts. The two were introduced by the newly elected city council after the 1999 local elections on October 1 . Before that, Troisdorf-West belonged to Troisdorf-Mitte and Friedrich-Wilhelms-Hütte . Part of this district is also known as the Red Colony . The houses of the "Red Colony" are listed and have been lovingly restored in the style of the construction work from 1913. Right next to Troisdorf-West, but actually in the Oberlar district , the city of Troisdorf's first comprehensive school can be found. The school " Europaschule Troisdorf Städtische Gesamtschule" was converted in 1988 from a secondary and secondary school to a comprehensive school.
In the west is also the Gleisdreieck, known by many of the carnival residents of Troisdorf, but politically it does not (yet) form a separate unit. This is where the last Veedelszooch in the area takes place.
Troisdorf-West is contrary to its name in the east of Troisdorf.
