Trude Charlotte Gimle (born December 2, 1974 in Aurskog ) is a former Norwegian ski racer . She drove in all disciplines.

biography

Gimle took part in the Junior World Championships in 1991 and 1992, with a 15th place being her best result. She won her first points in a World Cup race on January 23, 1994 when she surprisingly finished fifth in the Slalom in Maribor . In the same discipline she was 15th at the 1994 Winter Olympics . In the slalom classification of the 1993/94 European Cup season, she was third-best.

During the 1994/95 season she had numerous failures in the World Cup. A rare exception was the Maribor slalom on February 26, 1995, in which she was third. In the winter of 1995/96 she could not show a single countable result in the World Cup. Even in winter 1996/97 she was hardly ever among the top 30, but she won two Norwegian championship titles.

Gimle now increasingly drove downhill and Super G races and was able to establish himself again in the midfield in the 1997/98 World Cup season . Gimle was most successful in the 1998/99 season . In two runs she was among the top ten and twice she was third in a combined classification, on December 20, 1998 in Veysonnaz and on January 17, 1999 in St. Anton am Arlberg . Due to an injury, she had to take a break the following winter. Eighth place in a combined ranking was her best result by far in the winter of 2000/01 , after which she resigned from top-class sport.
