Tschawdar Arsow ( Bulgarian Чавдар Арсов ; born December 7, 1986 in Sofia ) is a former Bulgarian natural track luge . He started from the 2005/2006 season to the 2009/2010 season in both singles and doubles in the World Cup as well as in World and European Championships .

Career

Tschawdar Arsow made his debut in the World Cup at the beginning of the 2005/2006 season . In the first race in Longiarü he was 33rd in the single-seater, but retired in the double-seater. In the second race in Kindberg , he retired in the single-seater and together with Yanislaw Urumow took eleventh and last place in the two-seater. He then took part in the 2006 European Championships in Umhausen , where he was 43rd and last in the single-seater, and in the 2006 Junior World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , where he was the penultimate 36th place in the single-seater and together with Urumow ninth place in Double seater occupied. He only took part in World Cup races again in the 2006/2007 season. While he was only able to score 37th and last place in the single-seater finals in Moos in Passeier , he achieved better results in the double-seater with Galabin Bozew . They took part in the last three races of the season, finished 10th, 12th and 13th and finished 14th in the overall World Cup.

In the 2007/2008 season , Arsow achieved his best results in the overall World Cup, as he took part in all six World Cup races for the only time in both the single and the doubles. In the single-seater, however, he was only found in the bottom field with placings around 30th place, in the overall World Cup he was 36. In the doubles-seater, he usually only achieved placings under the last three with Galabin Bozew, but reached a twelfth, three tenth and a ninth place he finished eighth out of 18 rated pairs in the overall double-seater World Cup. He also competed in a World Cup race with Petar Sawow , they finished twelfth in the first race in Umhausen. As in the World Cup, Arsow was only among the last at the 2008 European Championships in Olang . He finished 30th in the single-seater and with Bozew 13th in the double-seater.

In the 2008/2009 season , Arsow / Bozew only took part in a two-seater World Cup race, but did not finish. In a single seater Tschawdar Arsow took part in three World Cup races and achieved his best World Cup result with 26th place in Unterammergau . In the overall World Cup he achieved almost the previous year's result as 37th. At the 2009 World Championships in Moos in Passeier he was 33rd in the singles, as well as the last 13th in the doubles and tenth in the team competition. In the 2009/2010 season , Arsow only competed in the first two World Cup races in Novouralsk . In the single-seater he again achieved places around 30th and in the doubles-seater he came in tenth place with Petar Sawow in the opening race. After December 2009, Arsow did not take part in any international competitions.
