The village, first mentioned in writing in the 18th century, was until December 2016 the only village in the district council of the same name in the north of Vyshnytsia Rajon and has been part of the municipality of Vyshnytsia ever since . On July 29, 2008, a severe landslide occurred in the village, in which 19 buildings were destroyed.
