Turbo is the second album by the German rapper Karate Andi . It was released on May 13, 2016 via the Düsseldorf label Selfmade Records .

At the beginning of April 2016, Selfmade Records released the first video God sees everything / iron to Turbo . This was created under the direction of Markus and Michael Weicker from The Factory . The second video was the piece Broken Knieboogie and published on the YouTube channel 16bars.TV. Another music video produced by The Factory was released on April 22nd, Mofa . Shortly before the album was released, the video Neighbor Quarter Terrorist followed , a collaboration with the rapper Frauenarzt , which is included on the limited edition of his album Mutterficker .
In addition to the videos, a snippet was published by Selfmade Records on May 11, 2016 , in which the songs from the album are presented in extracts . In addition, Andi made the piece Das Karate Andi available exclusively to the hip-hop magazine Juice . This appeared on Juice CD No. 133.

Turbo rose to number two in the German album charts . After eight albums in a row, it is the first publication by the Selfmade Records label that did not reach number one in the charts. In Austria, Karate Andi reached position eleven on the album charts. Turbo also entered the Swiss charts at number 19 .
criticism
Axel Weidemann discussed the album in the "Album of the Week" section in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung . Karate Andi is “ a milieu that has become a word ”, shows “ hunger for argument ” and comes “ with a hulking punk attitude.
