biography

Clover recorded Elvis Costello's debut album My Aim is True in England in 1977 as a backing band . These recordings took place without Huey Lewis. After Clover returned to California , Hopper joined in with Lewis, who played with a band every Monday night at Uncle Charlie's Club in Corte Madera . In addition to Hopper, Johnny Colla was also a member of this group.

In 1979 Huey Lewis and Hopper founded the band Huey Lewis and the American Express together with the former members of the band Sound Hole, Colla, Mario Cipollina and Bill Gibson and strengthened themselves with Chris Hayes . After a name change, the band traded as Huey Lewis & the News and signed a record deal with Chrysalis Records .

Sean Hopper has worked on the recordings of all of the band's albums from 1980 until today.
